It's the filters I use recommended by Rogue. They also have a sale on NGK plugs too which he recommends. I think it's time to do a sea foam since plugs should be changed afterwards.

Be careful when you do your Seafoam. I got a "Seafoam Ticket" from a tropper for that! A $130 ticket!

I was with him when it happened. It was just bad timing. He took the car out for a drive after seafoaming his car. Just as he turned the corner to get onto Highway 66 in Rowlett, a state trooper passed by going the opposite direction. The state trooper said that he stopped us because we had "copious" amounts of visible exhaust coming from the car. I am pretty sure it is just a fix-it ticket.

That would be one worth fighting. There is a TSB out there from Mazda that mentions the use of a top down engine cleaner and the smoke it generates, so you would be able to show that you were performing a manufacturer recommended maintenance procedure. The Judge could still be a prick about it, but I would think that there is a good chance of getting a dismissal.

EDIT- looks like the TSB only covers 1.6 cars, but it clearly states "Take the vehicle on a 3 or 4 mile performance (i.e. full RPM range) test drive to remove any remaining cleaner or carbon."

I gave Gary at TDR gave a receipt of fixing whatever caused the smoke. I took it to the Judge's office. The clerk in the office could not dismiss the ticket just b/o that. I ended up plea not guilty and request a day in court w the judge. I hope ether they dismiss w/o court hearing or I will bring the receipt from Gary to proof that whatever the problem, it is fixed.

Its just easier to use Techron.

When I tried it, neighbors almost called the FD on me.
Propwash was filled with smoke, and I got little (if any) improvement.
Did Techron on the way to MSR, and that fixed it up!

FYI, I heard about a youngun that got "wreckless operation" ticket after doing "Seafoam" in the O'O'O;Reilly parking lot.
Apparently the Denton cop thought he was doing burnouts and busted him as such.
That is a hard ticket to deal with, when your young. Don't ask how I know.

Thanks for the heads up, Sammmmmmm!
