Apparently John Baker is running in B Stock this year?

Interesting about John B. With all S2000s out of the class, a stock Miata might have a chance. On the other hand, it could just be a "registration error" on the user's part... I get the impression that John B doesn't play on computers much. As "proof" of that random statement, I offer up the fact that johnbaker has been a member of MME’s forum since 23FEB2004 – nearly a year – but he's never posted!

Paypal sucks. I put in my address and it says I'm wrong. I put it in again, and it says I'm still wrong. "Invalid city, state, zip code combination". Plus I can't read the stupid code at the bottom apparently.

Well the loss of the site on March 5th for the test and tune has caused a snag in the Annual Tech deal also. There is not a great (easy), solution. First Annual Tech is for members only. Annual tech should be a more involved inspection time wise. The original plan was for annual tech to be offered more than one event. So if you did not get it at the test and tune you could still get it at an event.

Therefore. (my idea). Look for two types of tech. Regular cursory tech inspection and a line for Annual Tech for Members only. Stock cars should get through the Annual Tech in maybe 5 minutes or less. Mods could take 5-10 minutes. Simple math will tell you that would be about 12-15 cars an hour if they are stock. Not many people will get Annual Teched at the first event.

Therefore I predict at the March 2, Solo Meeting a date and location will be picked to do another Annual Tech and maybe a test and tune but I would not count on the test and tune.

Since altiain is not the Chief of tech you can't get it done on the TCB plan.

Who will be handling these duties? I am in no way volunteering.

Note also the price differential for online(early) registration vs walk up

Walk up for members is $25
Walk up for non members is $35

Online or early(can mail in) gives $10 discount --> making it $15 members, or $25 nonmembers

When I last spoke with Tom R., I was under the impression that Garcia would be getting the job back by default, unless someone else stepped up.

    Garcia is the Chief.

The "mail in" form hopefully will be posted sometime today.

If you have not seen it elsewhere. Annual Tech is back on for March 5th at Pennington Field. 12:00-2:30PM. If you are not there by 2:30 you missed it!

Kind of curious. NTS2000 online registration fills up 55 people in 3 days. What is holding everyone up on the SCCA Online Registration? Same system except you have to pay. I find this interesting because back when ER had online registration they would get about 55 people to signup online but very few paid online. Is there some problem over looked?

Nothing personal general, but the concensus from most people that I've heard from are not excited about SCCA this year (not yet at least) because of the problems from last year. I think a large group are taking the 'wait and see what happens' approach for now.

How are you getting the word out that there is actually on line registration available? Yea I saw it here but we represent a modest percentage of the actually SCCA community. Any thought on a mass e-mail or a post card?

BTW. If it was in the SCCA Round-up I apologize since I normally throw it in the recycle bin on my way in the house from the mailbox, due to normal lack of Solo content in the Roundup.

Online registration has been posted on the texas region board, as well as pre-reg rules. One problem we had last year General was that folks were registering rather quickly, but since they did not have to pay, were not showing up, which threw off the work/run order. On capped events, we had folks who couldn't register 'cause it was full, and then 35 or so of those who DID register wouldn't show, thus the requirement to pay along with registration. If it doesn't work, we'll come up with an alternative solution. It would be nice if we COULD cap events at 55...Saunders would love it...

I am also taking a long look at where I race this year. My wife will only let me run one day a month. So... ER this week will be my one race for the month of February.

Sorry SCCA, but I'm tired of only getting 3 when you could get 4 if it was better originized or what ever needs to be fixed. I don't know
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

S2k also offers a registration cap and 8 guaranteed runs. I think that's part of the allure.

As for me, I'll be playing with the Maverick PCA guys & gals (and students) that weekend, so y'all have fun.

Still not a bunch of folks signed up for this event, including me.

But I did notice this on the SCCA website
Note you do not need to sign up on-line if you use the Annual Registration
Wonder how many Annual Registrations they have recieved?
