    Default Portable Speed Signs...

Y'know those radar sign trailers that tell you your speed?

There is one going from southbound 75 to Westbound 635.

V1 one warned me, no traffic in front, so I gun it.

Speedo says 85 mph. Radar trailer sign says nothing. Did I break it? I know it was on because the V1 was screaming.

Besides, it was registering for the other car way up ahead.
    ...and across the line.

It was too busy sending a digital photograph of your infraction to the authorities.

I love those things. Bedford routinely sets one up on a back road I use at work (although I've never seen them post a cop there in four years). It is about 100 yards from a stop sign, and it has become something of a game between lugnutjon and I to see who can post the highest "score".

The readout turns from yellow to red when you exceed the speed limit, then starts flashing at 10mph over the limit. I keep hoping that if I get a good enough launch I can get it to say "tilt".

If you had one of those spiffy new Mercedes with ceramic brakes, you could post a really high score... They stop from 120mph in 240 feet... You'd have 60 feet to spare!
