No, May 4th is not untill 12:01 a.m. But I could be wrong. I never know if midnight is a.m. or p.m. same goes for noon.
12:00 AM (midnight) is the start of a new day. Otherwise, we have been celebrating New Years one minute early all this time.
12:00 PM (noon) is lunch time!
When you count to 10 do you start at 0 or 1?

I tried looking up on Google if midnight is the end of the day or the start of the day. The answer I got was yes?
