Default That's right - Team Cheap Bastard is goin' to the Tour!

    <-- clickie

You heard right! Tailchaser and myself will be driving the #42/142 '99 Sport (owned by yours truly) in C Stock at the big show in April, where we hope to lay down the smack on General Default and the rest of the field while representing for DFWMiata.com and Team Cheap Bastard. Wish us luck, 'cause we're gonna need it. :afro:

All well wishes and support can be sent via paypal to my email address. Tire donations are always welcome - let your tires be immortalized at the Tour! I promise to even find some bigshot to autograph 'em for ya. :P

Seriously though, you guys have got until next Thursday night to come up with some big ol' Team Cheap Bastard and DFWMiata.com magnets for the car. We can't go down there all naked!

Don't forget that the support wagon needs your decals, too...

What a proud moment for Team CB!
I'll do my best to get my big magnetic stickers printed up ASAP! (Not on my printer, so don't worry)

That's not only the support vehicle, it's going to be the Team Cheap Bastard courtesy shuttle, used to ferry the underpaid & overworked Team Cheap Bastard drivers back and forth from the event to our sumptious hotel suite while the "race" car gets parked. :P

Which reminds me - has my esteemed co-driver booked said suite yet, or are we sleeping in the support vehicle?

I'd have to borrow the bigger support vehicle for that...

We're confirmed and guaranteed at the Hampton... I'm calling daily in case something opens up at the Fairfield.

The POS Support Vehicle is ready to serve! But you'll have to supply your own gas! It will comfortably sleep 3! Plus it has a DVD!

Well, it's not weather.com, but the area weather link on the SCCA site is a little more optimistic...

We've got a set of almost fresh V710s and a set of half worn Ecsta V700s (borrowed, in true Team Cheap Bastard style ). That'll have to do, 'cause my street wheels aren't CS-legal, nor are tailchaser's on my car.

Anybody want to donate a set of OEM 15" street wheels & tires to the cause? I'll trade you mine for the weekend...

BTW, thank you to whomever it was that stuck dfwmiata.com magnets on my front door today - thankfully I decided to water the yard tonight, or they might still have been there Monday morning, as i don't typically use that door much...
