Thread: Radio install in a 99

Default Radio install in a 99

I got a 99 with the Bose. I've got the cd player and tape player out. I hooked up the new unit and it works. However, there is a very thin piece of plastic that goes across the opening that separated the stock cd player and tape player. How do I remove it? Break it off, or does that trim piece come out some how? I'm sure I'm being an idiot...

Does the trim ring have to come off? I tried to get it off, couldn't get the clips under the AC controls to release.

Figured it out. Yes, you have to snap that plastic divider off. The ground is a black plastic clip that is attached to the stock dash harness.
