    Default Job hunting time

    OK ladies and gentlemen,

After many years of hard work and late nights, I will finally be graduating with my BSME in May (yay!! ).

However, that means that I also need to begin a real job shortly thereafter, or all that hard work is for nought.

I've been working the job boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.) for awhile, so far with no success, so I figure it's time to exploit the "It's not what you know, but who you know" angle.

If any of you know of an opportunity for an entry level Mechanical Engineer with excellent communication, leadership, design, and analysis skills (and hopefully an EIT Certification by the end of April) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I'd love to hear about it. Don't forget that many companies offer very nice referral bonuses, and I'll be more than happy to make sure you get one!

Please send me a PM if you know of an opportunity, and thank you.
    Iain

Well, I don't have any specific connections, but I know we've got a few different openings here in Keller with corning. You toured the plant didn't you?

I think they need a couple development guys, and several manufactring guys. It changes, but here's a good link to start?

Thanks, guys. I've been keeping a close eye on Corning's and Paccar's employment sections recently. I see that both companies have newly posted openings for development engineers that fit my skillset pretty well, so I've just put in another application(s).

Sorry, but everything we have for my work place is for software development, sales, etc, and not ME types...

I'll stick with stuff I can see and touch, thank you. Computers give me the willies.

    Just kidding.

Thanks to everyone who has offered help or leads both privately and publicly. Keep 'em coming! I promise once I'm gainfully employed the first round is on me.
