Default FS: 2006 Mazda MX-5 Sport 6mt, STR-prepped. Trophy winner!

I am preparing a detailed listing, but for now I will give the basics and answer questions via pm. Many of you know the car. It has a strong pedigree as a well-setup STR autocross car and is also very competent in the few track days I've attended. Ran a 1:26.8 at MSR 1.7cw on Saturday on RS3's.

The car is brilliant black with black top and interior. Never wrecked, mostly garaged and looks very good. Had the front bumper resprayed recently due to stone chips.
    Features:
    82,xxx miles
    2 remotes
    6MT
    A/C
    PS, PB, PW, PL
leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob
    steering wheel audio controls
    power mirrors
    flip-up wind diffuser
    factory roll hoops
    HID projector headlights
factory fog lights (modded to allow them to be on without headlights)
    Cruise control
    excellent AC!
    front and side-impact airbags

    Mods:
    Endura Tech coilovers with 10K f/ 6K r springs.
    rolled fender lips
DP Tune custom reflash (tuned, raised rev limiter)
GoodWin Racing stainless header, axle back and custom 2.5" catted/resonated stainless midpipe.
    TrackDog Racing Silicon CAI
    MazdaSpeed clutch-type LSD
several front and rear anti-roll bars
transmission rebuilt by Jason Saini of CJ Wilson Racing (dec 2010) had a bad shift fork
    new oem clutch set installed
5w20 Mobil 1 motor oil (always)
Motorcraft full synthetic gearbox fluid (8/2011)
Joe Gibbs Racing diff fluid (5/2012)
    Motul RBF600 fluid (6/2012)
fresh oem rotors and Mazda pads, all 4 wheels (12/2011)
    Clearwater component door speakers
Soft top replaced with brand-new oem black vinyl top and frame 1/2011 after top was slashed, new top was destrapped at install to prevent tearing issue found on almost all 2006-08 vinyl NC tops, still looks like new.
    Tinted windows
    17x9 Kosei K1-TS wheels(anthracite grey)with Hankook V12 tires in 255/40-17, also able to offer a set of RS3 autocross tires and/or factory wheels/tires.

Have quite a few other accessories and spares that can be negotiated in or out of a deal. If the buyer prefers a less- modified setup, I will return to oem parts and reduce the price accordingly.

Asking price with above mods/autocross ready: off the market

    Bone stock: $11,000

I put some miles on this car driving to Lincoln, NE and back in it, and I can say that it is quite comfy. In Mike's hands, it has set plenty of FTDs at events. It would make a great AX/daily driver as is. If you are looking for a fun NC, this is it.

Yes it is very fast and well prepped. I held up Mike couple of times this weekend on the 1.7CW. 1:26.8 is smoking fast!

Don't get too upset WMR, I'm not leaving STR, just moving to an NC2.

Let me know if parts come off it Mike. I'd like the LSD and maybe the intake.

Maybe 10-12k? I refreshed the dampers when I upped the spring rate last year, since ET was willing to swap my old ones for fresh ones to see how they were wearing. The previous damps had around 25k miles with no leaks or problems.

For everyone, I plan to build another STR NC2, so no parts will be sold until after that project is built, if at all. I will post about that if I end up with extras. Right now I have a nice set of wheels/tires in the classifieds. I do not intend to pull anything from this NC unless a buyer wants it in stock form. Turnkey FTW, baby!

I too can attest that this is a well set up car. In the hands of a capable driver like Mikey, it is an FTD candidate every time.

I think he took the seat out that Voight's daughter sat in. It is my understanding that he is trying to bottle the scent as air freshener

    NC2 because you impeded a NC2?

Mike has done a great job sorting out this car. I drove it pretty recently and it is very good. There is a noticeable power increase over stock.

    Good luck with the sale!
