Default EAST side drive to Hallett

I'm taking Thursday off to get up to Hallett, and I'm going to try and leave around lunch time (give or take) if anyone wants to caravan up from the east side of town...

Gary, lemme know if you can engineer an early escape from work. I'd just like to get up there before dark, and in time to get some grub that doesn't come from golden arches.

I'm in. I like to take off from work at lunch time and head up. Something like last year. Not sure if we want to do scenic route again.

Yeah I don't want to take as much of a scenic route as we did last year. I figure I'd just head straight up 75 - the direct route.

What time and place should we meet up? I'm coming up on 75 from downtown. BTW, are we going to stop somewhere for lunch or we meet up after lunch?

We can meet somewhere up on 75 in Plano and grab lunch before we roll out. Any suggestions?

Pluckers in Allen would be my recommendation. Great food and right off the freeway.

I'm aiming for being on the road around 2 if anyone wants to tack on to a later convoy. Pulling a trailer, so taking the direct route up 75...

    1. What's the most direct highway route from Plano if heading to the hotel first?

    Look at these possibilities.

    1. US75 north to Tulsa, then west on US412.

    2. US75 north to US270, west on US270 to Seminole and OK99, then OK99 north to Hallett.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

If you're going straight to the track, don't discount the route up I-35 through OKC to I-44, then north on 99 at Stroud. It's basically all interstate until you get to that last little bit on 99. Take 190 from Plano to 35 and you're golden...

Long shot here... is anyone (east or west) going up Friday instead of Thursday?

Just came back from a DE at Hallett. 75 has some construction on it, not much, it did not delay traffic. EVERY small town had a cop with radar. The V1 was screaming. Do not speed in the towns.

Hallett ran out of 91 gas on Saturday. Hopefully it will be filled before Sat. OK only has 91 octane so if you are tuned for more bring booster. Last stop for gas is S 209th W Ave off of 412.

    Woody's Bait
    & Tackle
    20913 W 8th St S
    Sand Springs, OK 74063

There was one other closer but it was not open on Sunday.

The track was as always fun elevation changes but rough surface. I played with the new setup on the car and the tried different lines. I was able to match my TTB track record on some older Hoosiers. Fresh tires should drop me in to the 1:24.
    M3 is always the answer.
