I just told Leilane about this and she said, "Oh yeah, I haul ass there." LOL!

I like that gate too. I found that if you arc it just right, you can drive right through it barely missing the outside cone. Before today, I've never shifted down to first on purpose. Done it plenty of times by acccident. That seem to help me exit strong on the last corner to the finish. Here is my last run.

Good times despite the morning weather. It was great to see everyone and I really enjoyed the course.

Here's my final and fastest run, not as good looking, smooth, as the run before it but somehow faster. I felt like I fell behind in a couple of places during the last run. Some good tips/reminders from JJ before my afternoon runs, thanks.

I'm happy to be back in a Miata again. I've missed it.

Good stuff everyone! I had such a great time, even while running around for that poor cone. Special thanks to James for walking me through the course and Jerrett for letting me ride with him and also instructing me. I'm definitely coming back!

    Sad I missed it.

TH sabotaging the competition and getting a cone to take the blame.

6th place! I seem to be stuck in that 2nd tier of drivers, making just enough mistakes to keep me from winning.

I'm the Joe Flacco of AutoX.

Seriously, I realize I was constantly way too hot for that last turn in the gravel and I simply couldn't slow myself down. Great time, well run event nonetheless.

Agree with this. Great course, relatively few timing errors, and corner workers who got things done in bad conditions even when there were high cone counts.

And a public thanks to Russ for letting me drive (and ummm... kinda slightly break) his car after I broke mine--stupid cones.

Evil KK was asking me tonight if I had seen any pictures from the event on the interweb.

    Heck I don't recall yesterday!
