Default John w/ 2000 Evo Orange

Hi, I'm John, and I bought a 2000 in Evo Orange a few weeks ago. TDR installed a HDHCHT roll bar, and I'm waiting to have my soft-top replaced (it's sitting in my apartment taunting me as my head freezes on the way to work) as well as RE-11's and HP+ brakes. I'm hoping to meet some (local) Miata owners, run in some HPDE's, and tune my car a little.

    A little about me:
I'm a 27-year old web application architect at one of the largest social media agencies in the US. I grew up in the small town of Richmond (Texas), went to UTD, and currently live at The Heights at Park Lane. Hobbies include cooking/eating, traveling (Costa Rica's the latest of about 10 other countries), CrossFit, and robotics.

Potential upgrades (as my abilities improve):
    • Seats and harnesses
    • Yellow-speed coilovers with FCM bumpstops
    • 15x7 wheels w/ 225/50R15's
    • Intake and headers – car came with a Borla exhaust
    • ECU tune from Dynotronics (5-min from my parents' house)
    • Lightweight battery since mine seems to be dying
    • Some tasteful refreshing of the interior and maybe a Parrot Asteroid

    Nice to meet you all!

[--- this is where photos of my car will go once the new top is on ---]

Welcome, have fun with your Miata.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

Come out to the Get Together at Jack Junkies in Plano tomorrow evening. You can meet the real Texas Stig and get some input on your new ride.

    Welcome.

Are you driving top down like a bause right now?

Buy a Miata Snuggie and forget about the top, lol.

Tops are a little harder to get on when its cold. You have to pull them pretty tight and its just harder when cold. Hands don't work as well and the material Is stubborn .

Haha, no. The top is up, but there's about a 3" gap between the upper edge of the glass and the vinyl that it would normally be attached to – still a little chilly!
