Like it says... We will be trading just cars i will keep my current setup to put on the 5-speed car... My car is fully loaded with 112k miles the car is mechanically sound as I've done everything to it myself.... And since I've built like hmmm 20 miatas now trust me she's good to go! :)

Wouldn't it just be easier to swap in a 5-speed?

gotta swap the rear end, for starters. So, $1500 in parts alone for a 5MT and torsen diff, then labor and incidentals. Makes more sense just to sell/swap.

Gotta swap the rear??? I think he could get a 5 speed for $200, sell the 6 speed for $500, and have $300 to spend at the strip club.

He runs SCCA, and it has to be package correct. A complete torsen diff is around $1000.

Ah gotcha, I guess I am sitting on a gold mine, gotta spare torsen in my shop.

Not sure its a gold mine, but a complete 4.1/4.3 torsen rear end with housing and axles fetches decent money.

Pretty sure you don't want to be drilling into it either.

Make that "used to" fetch decent money. Price depends on the gearing. The common ones like 4.1 don't bring as much as the more rare ones. I've known a few folks that had trouble selling their torsens and they don't bring what they used to.
