How does it work for spectators at this venue?

Good spectator event. You'll have to sign the waivers to get in, but you can sit in the bleachers near the track and watch the action. Free admission.

Great, thanks -- my boys want to come watch (with an adult of course).

Well to be fair I think an Evo did go into a guard rail at one of these events. Wasn't J.Fo though.

IIRC, that same Evo drove over a curb at a Resistol arena event...

Evos run into and run off of stuff all the time.

In other happier news, a few websites are showing a clear day for the road course!

Can track experience count in lieu of autox prerequisite?

I'll vouch for nails, if only to smoke his monkey ass by at least 3 seconds. Seriously, he can drive.

If road racing were any easier, they would call it autocross :p

(clubs other than SCCA qualify) We'll be checking local results when you sign up, and will contact you if we can't verify that you meet the prerequisite. This is a safety issue for us - not so much for the drivers, but for the workers. The Road Course is a large venue with workers spread out over long stretches. It's important that the worker pool be experienced in this situation.
You may want to ask automax he is the head honcho, the big kahuna, the man in charge, of the SCCA AX stuff the rest of us would just be guessing.

Just a reminder that this Sunday's SCCA autocross is pre-register only at http://msreg.us/2013TXEvent8. No walk-up registrations will be accepted.

Wow ... did I read that right 156 people signed up with 4 hours to go. Are we doing 5 heats instead of 4 or only 4 runs per car instead of 5?

Now why can't we do that for national events?

That a lot of cars and even better lots if corner workers.
