Nothing huge to report on... lots of small fixes, adjustments, and re-installation of stock components. The big brake kit and upgraded radiator did arrive a few days ago though. Suspension is all on with new components, and torqued to spec.

New ball joint, tie rod ends, bushings, hub, bearings, arp extended lugs.
All suspension is torqued to spec and ready for alignment.

    Big brake kit

Closer and closer... I can almost taste the unburnt fuel

Do you know the weight difference for the drive train swap?

I'm doing a home-brewed LSx conversion and wondering how the ride height will change.

From what I read online it's a couple hundred pounds overall if that...

Just add 100# to the spring rate front and rear and it should compensate for the additional weight if you dont want any ride height changes. Love what your doing maan, come out to a kellers when its all finished we would love to see it in person!

It actually thought the old brake disc off the car was a litter box and proceeded to take care of business in it. LOL

Relocated the front sway bar mounts.

Radiator, fans, installed with wiring and hoses etc all done

Engine bay is pretty much finished.

    Awww yeah
Basically all that is left is to throw the rear calipers on, bleed the brakes, bleed the clutch, install the steering column and interior, throw the wheels on... and I should be able to take it out for a shakedown!

Can you give the part number for the radiator?

I'd like to see if it might work from my home-grown conversion.

If the car is still up in the air, could you take a pic of the tranmission cross member, and also a pic of how the front of the torque arm is mounted.

For my conversion, I made my own body-mounted tranny cross member, and now I need to secure the front end of the torque arm.
Any recommendations on what the pinion angle needs to be for your LSx setup?

Just want to echo the sentiment for the very thorough work you are doing. Just beautiful.

Now what you need is a glass hood so that beauty can be seen by all. It's a shame to hid it.

    Thanks all for the compliments.

I'll be under the car tonight to tweak a few things, I'll try to snap a few pics of the mounting areas.
I've put about 50 miles on it so far. It is a freaking blast. I've got some updated pics to post and some troubleshooting to do.

It vapor locked the first night out and luckily shut down at my relatives house. Too much heat coming off the exhaust and heating the fuel tank and lines causing fuel vapor to get to the rail instead of fuel. I've got some heat shielding materials coming in today which should hopefully solve that issue.

Need to finish up the interior which is about 75% complete, hook up the A/C, get it aligned, modify the intake and get it tuned. Need to look at wheel spacers and pulling the fenders a bit.

Anyways... it's damn fast even as is.

Would love to get some pics of the tq arm mounting setup, so I can get an idea of what needs to be done for my home-grown LS1 conversion.

I'll probably order a radiator this weekend. Looking at 27.5 in. Wide, 15.5 in. Height, 2.0 in. Thick, with both ports on passenger side. I just hope it can keep a ported heads and cammed aluminum 5.7L running cool.
