    Default OEM Parts contact

    Hey all,
I have found (actually he found me) a guy in Decatur, Alabama that builds Spec Miata's. ( http://www.specmiata.com/Default.htm ) That means he will have lot's of OEM 'non-essential' parts. I asked if he would mind if I passed out his contact info, and he had no problem with that!

    Name - Tom Neel
    Email - [email protected]
    Phone - (256) 309-0492

I will be the guineau pig since I've sent him a money order a few days ago for all the parts necessary to install factory cruise. I did talk to him and he seems like a good guy, FWIW.

I bought a few little thing from him. I think he ran an ad on Miata.net. Everything was fine, no issues.

Are you going to use that cruise control in autocross to get consistent times??

psst... No sense in going all the way to Alabama.. I know at least a couple guys who do that here locally... I was in the wedding of one of these guys (guys name is Chris), so I know him well enough to ask for favors...

What do you guys need? He tore out a complete vigrin car last week (a 1.6) so I think he still has some of the stuff laying around....

Usually owners bring hin the cars to convert, so sometimes they take the stuff back, but when confronted wit $$ or junk on a shelf, usually the $ wins.

    Just trying to help..

He used to work out at MSR, and now builds them out of his home garage.

Import Autosports is still out in the paddocks at the ranch and all they do is service/build Spec miata's.

They don't have much for the M2 cars, but M1 parts aren't hard to come by... As long as it's not something they want too.. Then you're screwed (i.e hardtops.)

black.. Ok.. I'll let him know...

he's not really online much.. Occaisionaly he posts on teh Rx7club site as Thorage327, but generally it's just a cellphone (and hope he remembered to pay his bill)

otherwise I just call his wife :)

Lemme check with him, and if it's alright I'll post his cell #. POS he lives right over by us, Rufe Snow and Midcities basically... If you see a red 99 miata with a harddog sport bar that's him... Only on stock 14s now, soon to be 16" Gunmetal Konig holes....
