Cool! Excited to try all the new potential configurations at the site this year. This looks fast and challenging. Love the NASCAR banked showcase turn in the reverse direction. The additional site variety will also add interest to the class results this season. Good stuff here.

Jim Bunch driving a 15' Mustang???
That is what the registration list says.

I did not see that coming.

    What is the story???

Does Falken make tires big enough for a Mustang?

Just hope it warms up and roads thaw. Roads are terrible out here.

I'm not so worried about the roads. Has anyone checked on the parking lot itself. I know my driveway and neighbor hood streets are solid ice. Can just imagine the parking lot. Even if it warms up later today, not sure it will be warm enough to go through 12 hours of snow and ice in one afternoon.

Lone Star posted some pics of their place from yesterday. More ice is on it's way right now, but then it has about 18 hours to melt. Come on SUN!

Unless the lot has been used and packed-down the slush/snow in places, it seems that most asphalt surfaces absorb enough solar energy to melt pretty well. If it's got ice patches, all bets are off. As much as I'm hoping and planning to race tomorrow, I'm keeping an ear open for bad news. Maybe someone is close enough to check the lot this evening.

This stuff won't melt before tomorrow. It's pretty thick...

The NTAXS group has the lot rented for next Sunday. Maybe the SCCA can work out a deal with those guys to let them run instead.

    Just got this email...

    Greetings, Autocrossers!

TX Region SCCA Autocross Event #1 for 3/1/15 has been POSTPONED

Due to icy site conditions, inclement weather in the forecast, and the number of entrant cancelations, the Sunday, 3/1/15 event has been postponed. The new event date will be scheduled and announced as soon as possible.

If you pre-registered for Event #1, your registration will carry forward to the new date.

Due to concerns of folks traveling to the event site tomorrow morning in potentially dangerous conditions, plus several people already indicated that they intended to withdraw from the event due to weather, the Texas Region SCCA Solo Event #1 has been postponed.

A new date will be posted as soon as it has been set.

It's rarely that simple, as NTAXS has entries already too. They will find a good date and give everyone lots of lead time. Quite a few out of town folks attend SCCA events, so they need the time to plan.

Fell in love with the ecoboost '15 at a drive event, so I ordered one. Still on the factory P-Zeros, have not changed to autox tires yet.

RS3 v2 have a 245/40 size that might be worth looking into. How wide are the mustang wheels?

A little bird told me V720 will be out in April. No word on 19" sizes. The current Ecsta XS has one 19" size and the V720 is rumored to have more sizes available than the XS.
