I liked the Rival's I had...they are a better choice for cool weather IMO. Get the RS-3's (195's) for the heat (and we all know it will get here eventually).
Got a flat last night on my way back from Houston and it's too worn to repair so I want to try to get a new set before the ER event this weekend.
Was running 205/50/15 Rivals and pretty happy with them. Trying to decide if I should just get those again or change to 195/50/15 ZIIs or possibly RS-3s in the same size. With me, the car weighs right around 2500lbs. Weels are 15x7 RPF1s; can't remember the offset. Can anyone directly compare the tire size difference or tire models on a Miata? Thanks!

Within reason, bigger is better. Chances of getting your hands on RS3's is probably limited right now, and there should be some good prices on Rivals. If you liked them, they are a great tire.

Thanks guys. I just realized there's a "new" ZII (with Star Spec in the name) that comes in 205/50/15. I'm kinda leaning toward those based on this TireRack review (despite it being a very different car and tire size) : http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...y.jsp?ttid=197
Anybody had then in 205/50/15?

Just ordered a set of the ZII Star Specs in 205/50/15. If I remember, I'll give my impressions of them after I get a chance to put them through their paces.
