Maverick PCA autox #3 - Mineral Wells 6/5/05
So... looks like this is the next autox on the local calendar. 8 runs, fun courses, and good people. Anyone else interested?
Oh, and before Kestrel gets wound up (), Maverick Region has been pretty relaxed about top rules this season, from what I've seen. At the last autox, we were allowed to run top down regardless of having a roll bar or not.

Well, that was a lot of fun. Eight runs, a long, challenging, and entertaining course (as usual), no "top up" rules, and some good, old-fashioned competition.
It was good to see JRW, Lost216, and joe.miata out there today. It was even better to beat lugnutjon by over 8/10ths of a second. It wasn't so good to discover that lugnutjon's radiator has a pinhole-sized leak that keeps it from pressurizing, but he still managed to make all eight runs with no apparent problems, even though he was offered other rides when the issue was discovered.
All in all, it was a good day at the Wells. We even had a breeze all day long, so the weather wasn't that bad!
