Default Free motorsportsreg webinar HPDE head/neck restraint for 3-point harness

Motorsportsreg.com is hosting a free webinar on November 16th about an FIA-approved head and neck restraint system that is compatible with a street car's OEM 3-point harness. This probably won't interest those of you who have race seats, roll bars, and six-point harnesses, but anyone tracking a street car with the OEM restraint system might want to tune in.

Registration is free and is open through 12 PM EST on Nov 15. Here are details from motorsportsreg.com

"Ride-along performance-driving instructors are dying on the job. How do we stop it?" -Jack Baruth, Road and Track

The HPDE community is asking itself this question in the wake of HPDE instructor deaths over the last few years. Of course there are many answers. In our upcoming webinar we'll address one solution- safety gear.

Racers understand the benefits of wearing a head restraint device, but most can't be used in a street car without 6 point belts. Simpson Performance Products has developed a similar product- the Hybrid Head Restraint. It's FIA approved and compatible with 3-point belts in a street car.

We're hosting a free webinar with Simpson Performance Products and Trevor Ashline, the creator of the Hybrid Head Restraint. Trevor will explain the safety features of the Hybrid Head Restraint and give us a demo of the device. Scot Elkins, Chief Operating Officer at Motorsport Safey Foundation, will also join us to talk about his real-world experience with the Hybrid Head Restraint.

It arrived! It's well made, heavy duty. Takes some practice attaching and detaching it from the helmet (posts come with it) while you're wearing it. If you are thinking about getting in on the group buy (through 12/15, about $200 savings) but want to see it first, let me know, I'll be happy to meet up.
