Thread: Rear Main Seal

    Default Rear Main Seal

My NissExxon Valdez pickup is pissing me off. The leak is bad and the stop leak didn't work. Looks like I need to replace the rear main seal. Anyone have experience pulling an automatic tranny and replacing the rear main seal that can help me?

If not, any ideas of where I can take it and how much it will cost me?

    ...and across the line.

Your car is a slushbox? I could have sworn you had a 5 speed...

I'll tell you though, after pulling/replacing Kags tranny, I can definitely tell you it's an involved job.

Yup. The pickemup truck is a slushbox but my Miata has a proper manual tranny.
