Track Dog Racing is over that way, sort of. Don't think they make house calls.
PS - There's an actuator in the door....that's probably the culprit.
My surrogate (not really, just in spirit) parents are in Rockwall off Forest Trace and are having trouble with their driver's side door handle not actuating the lock on their 2000 NB. They are older, retired and not mechanically very proficient. They have been ripped off in the past by mechanics etc and I'm just trying to help out from one state over so I can't reasonably do this myself. I know popping the door panels off is super easy (I have 2 Miatas myself!) and it would probably take less than 10 minutes to fix/diagnose as it is probably just one of the actuating rods that have popped out of place. Can I pay someone to go over to their house and take a look at it, or is there a Miatacentric place nearby that I can send them to that would be willing to charge a reasonable amount and be trustworthy so they won't be ripped off? Thanks!

Trackdog or the local Mazda dealer may be the best bet.
Not sure I'd want to send some random stranger from the internet over to fix my folks car. But that is just me.
