    Default 96 Miata Dash Help

Hey guys, nice board, my fathers 96 Miata has the following components not working:

    Tackometer
    Fuel Gauge
    Water Temp
    Oil Pressure
    Cruise Control

They all stoped working at the same time, if you have any ideas, please share.

Did you check the main fuses/relays under the hood?

Should be something simple like a fuse or something disconnected, but if worst comes true Mazda Haven had plenty of 94-97 dashes and guage clusters last time I was out there.

    Welcome to the board, Mark.

Hmm... came across something that might help you in this other thread:

Sounds like this might be your problem - I can't imagine another reason that those five things would all stop working simultaneously, except that somthing has come unplugged in the harness. This sounds like a good place to start.

I had that problem on my 96 last year and it was a fuse under the dash. It turned out to be a short in the reverse switch on the trans so every time you put it in reverese no gauges. I replaced the switch and all is fine.
