The bus lot is slicker than owl snot, and about as much fun to drive on. I think I'll spend that day with my wife instead.

Bah, atleast you can get a half-way decent course on the lot. In addition, the lower grip helps preserves tires, AND, you get to practice car control on a slick surface.

I'll do it on-line but closer to the cutoff for the event, I just need a little more time to convince myself I want to go!

If I wanted to preserve my race tires, I'd leave them bagged in my garage.

I like Mineral Wells. I don't find it to be that hard on tires - I get 90+ runs out of a set of V710s, with the majority of those runs coming at Mineral Wells, on longer (80+ second), high-speed courses. The bus lot might be a decent size, but I just don't like the surface. Besides, it's forecast to rain on Sunday. If the bus lot sucks in the dry, it really sucks in the wet... unless you own an underpowered awd econocar.

haha, I think someone is just scared to tackle a technical course on a slick surface
