The rear 3/4 shot has a hint of Ferrari 575 to me. Mainly along the c pillar and rear windows. I'll take one in black.

Only if it has about 1.5" more headroom than the 'vert. If I couldn't put the top down 90% of the time, I wouldn't own a Miata (NB).

You say that, but having had one in the garage with the hard top on it and one with it off for quite a while now, I can say qualitatively that the Miata is still a cool car even without being a convertible.
