LOL i like the headlights on the solstice, but the grill just looks too small. i dont know. maybe bean can photochop a larger grill onto the front of it.

Did they tell your mom any of this????

    Quoted from another forum:
"A friend took a look at the Solstice in the showroom. The saleman told him that you have to open both doors when you close the hood. If you don't you can actually have contact between the hood and the doors. The model on the floor already had a dent on the drivers door, where the hood had already hit it.

The trunk wouldn't close on the car with the top down, until he pushed on the middle of the trunk from inside the car. He actually had to stand up in the car and push it down with two hands."

That's crazy, you could never take it in for an oil change....

I didnt realize the hood was designed this way. I thought maybe the poster in Sharpie's post was english and was refering to the hood as the soft top. Nope.

Hmmm...not sure about the hood thing. The trunk on hers shuts fine. You have to give it a "firm, swift" push like the manual says but works fine. There's a bit of an air resistance when you shut it so you have to give it a little slam. Not a big deal to me.

Oh yeah Gary about those first year models and their problems/recalls, I mentioned my 90 crank failure but forgot to add that Mazda made an inferior design on the first year model and redesigned it for 91. So who cares if the first year had a few little quirks, GM has great warrenty/customer service from everyone I've know, including my parents experiences. Oh yeah remember the 90-91 white paint Miatas (like mine) that had problems with the paint not staying on after a few years? Never had that problem with a GM product! I'm really impressed with the build quality and most of the design changes from GM. Their finally getting the fit & finish down to compliment the reliability.
