    Default Service Traction Control

Put the HF trailer behind the bride's Monte Carlo and drove it a couple of miles (trailer empty), stopped at the store, and when we left, I got a "Service Traction Control" light and the "Traction Off" light came on.

Drove it back to the house and parked it for a few minutes. When I cranked it up, the lights came back on. Drove it to Mineral Wells with no problems. When we headed back, no lights.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? First car I ever owned or driven with traction control.

    TIA

Did you check the owner's manual before the tow? Perhaps there exists a way of disabling the traction control settings. I know in the VW it can be toggled off and on.

The bride been doing any burnouts again??

I doubt the HF trailer had anything to do with the warning lights, I'd blame it on the person driving the car at the time of the first sighting!

That's the beauty of warranty if it does it again take it in!

Only time I ever saw that light on a GM product was the Olds rental I drove up Pike's Peak.

Not my fault! I was driving very conservatively.

That is my plan. I once witnessed the Traction Control light during the recent ice storms - testing a car I don't know well & road surface just after pulling out of the driveway.

How come it doesn't happen when your lovely bride drives the car??

You need to be nice to her car!
