Talking Rollbar question for TCB team

Hey guys I've got a question about my rollbar. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and was planning on having it powder coated due to it being scratched up some, but know I'm thinking of just hitting it with the good old rustolum spray cans and calling it good so I can get it in. Should I just do the paint way or is it worth the extra $$$ to have it powder coated? And can anyone help me with the install on a Friday or Saturday?

Dude... it just depends on how anal you are about the fit & finish of the rollbar.

If you it it with a rattle can, at least sand down the scratches some before you paint so you don't see 'em when you're done.

I can help ya with the install, but not for the next weekend or two.

Its been too cold lately to do much of any spraying, usually with metal you have to wait until its closer 70-80 degrees to keep the paint from globbing together if you don't want to sand the whole thing down and primer it. Plus those things are easy as hell to scratch, and it'll just get scratched up again. Powdercoating you'd never have to worry about that really, but it just depends on how much the scratches bother ya!

Which bar did ya get? The Hard Dogs have that cool padding that you can get that could make the paint not all that important.

Chances are it will get scratched up some (more) during install (mine did). Don't sweat it.

no I got it used from on this board. It mounts to the seatbelt anchor bolts and then down on the floor somewhere. I was told it was similar to the autopower rollbar.
