    Default Jeep Wrangler Cat....

A friend of mine at work has a clunking catalytic converter on her 97' Wrangler. We've found some on ebay that are affordable, but there are the $200 ones too. Anyone have any experience with these low budget 's and also a recommendation on where to get it welded in around Lewisville. I'm betting that Midas or whomever wouldn't want you to bring in your own part due to liability. Here are the few that found on ebay. Suggestions? TIA

Lewisville Muffler Shop, They put a FlowMaster on my Ram and did a great job.

Honestly I would see what they would charge for the cat as well. Most places will sell parts cheaper if they are also doing the labor.

If you want to supply your own parts then give Russ at Baertrax a call. He is in Dallas close to 35 and Royal. Of course he is out of town through Thursday this week. He may or may not be in the shop Friday. He will charge shop rate for the time. www.baertrax.com

    Yeah,

There's a German Motorworks place just off Mill St. in Lewisville - a few blocks North of Main Street on the right... Welding shop attached that does all kinds of exhaust work... they put cats on my old 92 B&T as well as our old Jeep Cherokee.

Both cases they were free flow hi-perf cats and they were quite reasonable... around 200 installed.
