    Default Headlight Upgrade

    Anyone have some info/opinions on upgrading the headlights on an NB? No real need, just want some better vision!
    What if the hokey pokey really IS what it's all about???

    The best headlight upgrade I can think of for the NB would be to retro-fit some pop-ups off of an NA. I think it's possible...

    try the sylvania silver stars. alot of people like those.
    are yours high intensity discharge lights? thats a good upgrade...

    Just have the originals, so I'm guessing they're not the High Intensity type.?.?

    That depends on the year of NB... I have the projector headlamps in my 2003. VERY bright lights.

    Sylvania Silverstars are a halogen bulb with more intensity and higher temp rating (color). They're pretty good but I like the CATZ bulbs that I'm running in my NA right now better. I can't remember which one of their bulbs they are right now but they aren't the silly bluish ones.

    I also ran PIAA superwhites in a previous car and they were great. I would definitely not mind getting another set of these sometime.

    I retrofitted euro projector housings and a real 4300k HID kit on the M3 and that was incredible. You might want to look into getting a HID kit for your car if you don't mind spending the money. Your best bet is to get a Philips kit and some of the BMW guys I know have had OK experiences with XTEC.

    The 2001 and up also have a different front bumper cover since the headlight shape changed a bit.

    Definately the 01 version...the Silver Stars look good...any particular style/model number??
