    Default Driving to San Angelo

Driving to San Angelo, Goodfellow AFB, to see my kid brother. It's just an overnight trip.

What should I take with as a precautionary measure?

I've got my AAA card... gallon of water, spare tire, quart of oil... what else?

last time i went that way, i didn't have water with me. turns out about halfway in the middle of nowhere (between adrews tx and eunice nm) i had to pull my thermostat and try to find a new one. ended up driving the rest of my trip to carlsbad without one. i might also recommend throwing a map or atlas or something in the trunk and a flashlight. never can tell what you'll need. make sure you have a tool set of somekind (in case you have to do something like pull your thermostat)
