I think I want to stripe my miata. I definitely want to go with vinyl instead of paint. Does anyone know of any good (cheap) sources for the stuff? Any hints on application? There used to be a good tutorial on the pointy board but alas its sick.

    Thanks

The pointy board is down, but not miata.net

Like just about everything else on my car, I got my stripes on ebay. I did mine outside when it was about 65 and windy. Because of this I need to restripe my car. I used a laser level to shoot down the car as a guide, but after reading Keith's instructions, I think that the masking tape method would be much easier.

The whole thing must be screwy, I couldn't get miata.net to come up earlier. I just assumed it was all down.

Hows the quality of the ebay stuff?

The stuff that I got from ebay was by a seller that goes by scole999. It is very high quality 3M vinyl.

Yep that who did his car, turned out real nice! IIRC it was a pretty good deal also!

How good of a deal was it? I am needing my stripes redone, and it may be worth the money for me to have someone else do it this time. It only took me close to a year from the time that I bought the stripes until the time I was able to put them on after all.

$245 for a full wrap on my NB. Might be a little more or less on the NA depending on how much Larry enjoys working in to that dimple on your bumper...
