Default Audi A3 - Anyone drive one?

Liking the looks of the new A3. Haven't driven one yet though. All the reviews of the DSG make it sound like it'd be a good commuter (meaning fun when you want it to be, but automatic for bumper-to-bumper).

Worried about the Audi factor though. All the ones I've driven have been lifeless cars. Too heavy, and not that much feedback.

The 3.2 sline sounded like a nice upgrade to the 2.0, until I saw it added nearly 600 freaking pounds.. Anyone driven the 2 or 4 wheel DSG 2.0 version?

I have, although I'm not a fan of most audi's, including the S4. Was thinking I'd get more of an unbiased opinion here..

I'd rather have a new GTI. Same DSG drivetrain, same basic chassis, similar interior space, over $10k cheaper, and you get those ultra-cool plaid seats.

Well, the A3 was one of two "finalists" to replace my S4 Avant last year. At the end of the day, I just couldn't justify the cost of the A3. I think it's a damn fine car, but 10% overpriced.

Yup... I got real tired of it sucking money out of my wallet.

Now I've got a box full of new, replacement parts that I'll have to sell off.
