    Default Fresh Fish!

Hello everybody! after searching all summer I finally found the right miata for myself, just in the nick of time too, because school starts up next week. Anyways we have named it tadpole, and its a 94 black on tan with a racing beat type 2 front bumper. I had this site reccomended to me by samm at the miata.net forums, and am looking for some likeminded miata owners in the dfw area. Without delay here are some pictures!

    Austin,
You really should show up at Pennington at 7:30 with the car and bring $25 with you. I need another virgin to compete against. I'll even loan you my helmet.

Welcome, great looking car. If I had an m1, that nose is the first thing I would do.

Thanks for the offer, but I got my wisdom teeth out last thursday, and these painkillers make me pretty loopy. I also need to change the differential, transmission, clutch and brake fluid, along with the front pads before I thrash it too much. Does anyone have any suggestions for front pads? The rear ones seem to have alot of material left on them, but I hear changing just the front pads, can change the brake bias, and actually make the car stop slower. Is there any truth to this?

For a daily driver and some AX usage, OEM pads work great. That's what I'm running FWIW.

What is the difference between the OEM and the "Value Pads"? I guess you have to reuse the hardware with the value set , and all you get are the new pads?

OEM would be the way to go on your first change out... make sure you get new retaining springs for the pads...

If you don't use the springs then you'll hear lots of clattering when you go over bumps as the pads move around... My 92 Blue (SOLD!) had that clattering as the PO (previous owner) didn't put them back in.

Then come down to visit and bring the painkillers with you!

(Seriously, what'd they give you? If they have codiene in them, they might actually be turning you into a squirrel.... I prefer pain over codiene because life is much more real that way.)
