Thread: Shocks for an NB

    Talking Shocks for an NB

Thinking about changing the shocks out on our '02. Plan to just keep the OEM springs for now. AGX's would work just fine but is there another option available??? Adjustably on an AGX doesn't seem like a huge deal on a daily driver.

Oh yea Miatamoto I'm not going to spend thousands of dollars to put Teins in it!

    TIA

Hmmm... How about some Tokico D Specs? (Only Iain will laugh at this)

... or even TEIN Basics! You can get them for around $650 and your wifes car can look like this (he's running Basics).

    How about the Koni FSDs:

BTW, the AGX would work perfectly fine.

Interesting that they left the Koni Sports on full soft. If you aren't going to make use of the adjustability, why bother?

Still, I've heard good things about the FSDs for street cars. I'd give them a try, just to see what they're like.

Yeah, I didn't get that either, but looks like an interesting option.

So I guess that settles it, I'm sure Gary could get a set of TEIN Flex coilovers, custom spring rates and EFDC to your house by next week.

There has been talk of a BMW recreation of a British classic.

Although being the Cheap Bastard that I am I'd rather buy a set of AGX's and keep the Miata just a little bit longer.

If you buy a Mini, are you going with a ragtop or a tin top? Y'know the tin top is all new, but the '07 ragtop is still based on the previous ('02-'06) model. If you want a ragtop, you might want to wait for '08.

Then again, for what a new Mini S ragtop would go for, I'd be looking at used S2000s and Boxsters, personally.

The desire for the "new" vehicle to haul 3 seems to be excluding some of your suggestions.

Looked at the VW EOS today, the top is awesome, too bad it's a VW.
