    Wink For the K20 Friendly

That's 793whp running on e85 Oh, and 11.5:1 compression On a previous dyno session, it hit 588hp with pump gas and 756hp after switching to e85. All on a daily driver! (well, he runs a conservative ~550whp on his street tune)

For those that don't know... st00pid is the Honda tuner to go to. His results are simply amazing.

How the hell is that driveable on a daily basis?

The dyno chart starts at 4k rpm and doesn't start making power until 5k.

533 ft lbs of torque steer!

At least he has bragging rights.

Hondas always suck. They should just stick with being daily drivers.

At 4500 rpms, he is already making more hp than I am at 7800 rpms... fwiw.

Exactly. That's why I have two for that very purpose.

Ummm... I think you just answered your own question. Most daily driving takes place below 5k RPMs where the power is more reasonable.

Not at all... I've got two Honduhs.

I just contend that if you're gonna spend that sort of coin in go fast parts for a Honda, do it in an S2000.

No matter what, rear wheels pushing the car will always be more fun.

I'm not hating on hondas or Adam.

I like all sorts of vehicles, and appreciate good tuning. I just wouldn't dare try to put numbers like that down without all wheel drive.

I also prefer a driveable car. Especially in the metroplex.

eh, you make do with what you've got. Drive a Type-S or Si and your opinion of FWD will change a bit It is a very capable car in most aspects, until you get to the tight turns (the new Si is probably just as good in these too w/ the LSD). You can't make it a weight issue either, the 06 Type-S is 15lbs lighter than the 06 S2k is. With the extra $10k price-tag, it's a big step-up too. I'd love to throw $10k into my car, no stock S2k would be able to keep up.

With that said, I will build a high-hp car eventually, and it will be RWD. It's a money issue though... for the price it would cost me to build the RSX to come close to competing with the car I want to build, I can build that car, with purchase price of the chassis/body included. In the meantime, a 225whp, ~2700hp (after I do a few things for weight loss) car will do me just fine

But if you did that then you'd have apples and oranges. Throw the same amount of cash into a Stook and you'd probably still be behind.

I was only comparing the initial pricing. Straight-line, I'd take $10k in the RSX vs. $10k in an S2k. Ever hear of any high-hp S2ks? I can't find much info; the last time I really looked into it, 300-350 was typical, with 400hp seen here and there. I just did a search and found a few things about 500hp... Traction can be found with the right mods for the RSX, but you can't make up for a lack of hp (w/ mods) on a motor as high-strung as the S2k's is.

Road course is a little different, but it doesn't take much in the way of hp for the RSX to keep up in the straights, and there are tons of suspension setups available. I won't say much about autocross, not enough people compete with (properly setup) RSX's to be able to compare them.

The K20 is a very capable engine. I was surprised to see 700+hp out of them; this isn't the only one out there.

The only S2k that has really impressed me is the Pacman S2000. ITBs and short gearing (to get to 60, he has to shift into 3rd).... Yeah, if I had the money, that's the kind of car I'd want. Then again, the K20 is pretty sweet with that setup too....

Yes, many. I've got at least 10 archived magazines with S2k's with 400-900 wheel horsepower. The F20 is extremely capable with minor bolt-ons, NA built engines, lightly boosted, or all out builds. They are also one of the best looking sports cars on the road.

I would love to build one for road racing.

I should have said DD S2k's

I don't disagree about the F20 or F22, or the S2k itself. I just find it funny how easily people can start trashing a car b/c it's FWD, no matter how capable it is.

I would rather have a S/C'ed S2k than a turbo, I can only imagine how twitchy it gets once you hit full boost. At least you torque-steer in a high-hp RSX, hitting full boost coming out of a corner in a turbo S2k.... me ->

Definitely not trashing fwd's. I appreciate what honda has accomplished with their FWD vehicles. I really like RSX's and Integras. I like mini's too.

    Capable perhaps.

I'm just saying that given the opportunity, most knowledgable enthusiasts would probably take a rear wheel drive vehicle over a FWD.

If I'm driving to work/school and back, then give me my 180K mile, 1993 Accord.
