I dunno, man... our boy is looking for space, versatility, and something unique to pick up some trim. This side of the A-Team Van (sure it's got BA, but no AWD, unfortunately), I don't see anything that fits the bill quite like the Eagle.

We had one when I was little (brown/beige, featuring plaid cloth seats w/strategically placed steel chrome buckles directly under-thigh - perfect for those 110 degree Dallas summer days!). Sure, it was a beast, but it weren't no BMW/VW/Rover/Volvo Panzy-wagen, either.

Just the kind of ride you might see parked in front of Ships.

I split this off of the discussion of srivendel's choice of carry-all vehicle found in OTM Tech & Chat - Beano

They even serve food! Um, that is, if you're in the mood for a sack of Fritos...

Chances are, though, our lawyer friend would not be hanging out there... *snif*

Sounds like joint I used to hang out in the alley behind the ol' CBS affiliate I worked at...

The Pine Knot was it's name... cheap beer and alright music... a good combo.

Kind of a beating if you've gotta drive home to Frisco, but hey... it's worth a look. I'm a big fan... just beware that the owner has a thing for Roy Orbison and the Kingston Trio, and if he's there he'll hog the jukebox.

    Good times.

Gotcha. You are correct... not far at all from Downtown D. Ross and Greenville.

    Who's up for cheap beers!

You don't have a small trailer and a couple of lawn chairs?

Never thought I'd see Ships talked about on here. They've got the best jukebox in Dallas and cheeeeap beer. It's a nice departure from the Greenville crowd.
