I wonder what they would look like after a session of track time. Would bet the heat from the brakes melt them down.

Or at least they'd be diiirty from the brake dust. Heck, that would happen from regular driving. What's the point??

It would match the clear acrylic hood on the Civics I've seen.

Maybe clear acrylic is the "new" carbon fiber? Will we see more clear body panels?

    ...and across the line.

Why didn't they just sit her on a pedestal in a seated position like she was flying?

'Cause the post would be going right up her ... and then you'd have to explain that to the kids.

Isn't the same material which they use to make the eyeglass lenses with?

Polycarbonate? if so then yup, At lenscrafters you can buy Plastic (least expensive, and thickest), polycarbonate (a bit more depending on the extra coatings and such, but thinner, lighter, and stronger than plastic)...and then there's old fashioned glass. (heavy, scratch resistant, but don't drop it.)

ask me how I know? okay, u don't care, but I am a lab tech @ lenscrafters...not a career for me, just a job in last semester of nursing school.

They'd make great wheels on a show car though. Cause you could see everything behind them and it would be unique.

Although if you drove with them, there is not only the damage to the wheels to worry about, but what happens when your brakes get dirty and dusty, then it's gonna be ugly to look at.
