    Picked up a new toy at Pep Boys today... $49.99. Has the laser sight on it too. Ad is good through March 3rd.

    Looks a lot better than the Radio Shack one I bought a few years ago.

    You guys probably know this, but according to Andy Hollis, it is useless for tire temps. He said you have to penetrate the tread to get meaningful temps.

    My primary use is for radiator, brake disk, and differential temps.

    Good to know about the tires tho!

    This one has a probe that penetrates the surface to get core rubber temps where they are more stable and less prone to surface cooling.
