    Default SCCA, Dixie National Tour

Congratulations Thomas! 1st in CSP. Margin of victory .057.

It makes that long drive home much more bearable when you have the 1st place trophy in the car.

    Nice job Thomas!

Did anyone else notice that there were no Solstices even entered in CS? That seems strange for a national tour event.

Give it time. The Club Sport Solstice is still a relatively rare car, so they aren't exactly filling fields with them just yet. I expect to see well over half of the C Stock field at Nationals this year in Solstices.

    Congratulations, miatamoto. Nice job.

Will you start teaching soon? I could use some lessons.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

    Thanks guys!!!

I just flew back into town this evening. It was a long weekend but well worth it. I was there driving the Fuji-Racing IRTB car. It was a very impressive car.

I was in 5th place after the first day because of a dirty 3rd run (could have been in 1st after the first day without that one cone) and it was a serious nail biter on Sunday.

I had a great time, got to see my parents, and enjoy a very nice race venue. I might try to go back again next year.

Congrats, so I guess it's time for that 99 motor swap?

What's the suspension set-up on the Fuji-Racing car, Thomas?

Koni Race shocks with GC perches (600F, 350R), hollow Racing Beat bar up front, no rear bar, don't exactly remember the rebound settings of the shocks

BTW, how did you like the new front shocks at the first event?

Hey Thomas, great to see you at the Dixie NT. You did one hell of a job on Sunday...Congrats!
I got there Thursday for the mock Pro test session, and my car felt great with the new clutch and chipped ECU. It felt pretty good on Friday during the Tour practice session...On Saturday, it went to hell in a hand-bag. I had one clean run, and on Sunday, two clean, but the tires just gave up the ghost. That was the part of an eleven day trip, just got home Sunday night. Spent most of the day washing the car, trailer, and RV to get the road salt and other grime off before the paint began melting... Nasty stuff!
