Welcome to the fold! If the weather's good Wednesday night we meet in a parking lot at the NE corner of Coit and Park in Plano. Watch the "Events" section of the board for updates...
I think you'd be the only NC out there!
I sold my car, and sold my bike, and finally bought a MX-5! I live in Murphy, smack dab in the middle of Plano, Richardson, Garland, Sachse, Wiley, and Parker.
My wife and I are "empty-nesters" and live to work - me at Southwest Airlines, she in sales and officing in our home. This is my/our first convertible sportscar, but I grew up in the car business - my dad was a Porsche+Audi & Mazda dealer in OKC many moons ago.
Would love to meet other like-minded Miataphiles in my area - lemme know where you are!

Welcome! Congrats on the car. My cousin works at Southwest and she really likes it.
Welcome! Whereabouts are you in Murphy? I live in Daniel Crossing, right across the street from Kimbrough stadium. If you see a dirty green RX-8 with a loud exhaust - gimme a wave.

Congrats on the car and welcome! Keep your eye on the events sections of the forum for Miatae gatherings of all kinds.
I'm south of Renner and east of Murphy Road in Murphy Farms. We looked up there in Daniel's Crossing when we bought our house 4-1/2 years ago. I've used the parking lot at Kimbrough to "test" suspension changes in my Jetta and on my motorcycle! I'm sure I'll do the same with the MX-5 until the police run me off.
Welcome and Congrats on the NC. I'm in Wylie.

Thanks, guys. It's Marble White w/black top & black cloth, and is still awaiting some dealer-installed options (full Mazdaspeed suspension w/Koni adjustables, appearance package, Enkei RPF1/Goodyear F1 GS-D3s). So, for now, I have the dreaded "wheelwell gap syndrome" to deal with. That being said, I've never driven a better "stock" vehicle for just having fun!
Count on me going to the autocrosses - I did well years ago in both a GTI and a 944, and can't wait to get the NC out there amongst the cones. As far as the GTGs, if I don't make it this coming Wednesday, you can count on me in the near future!
BTW - I work at Dallas Love Field and drive GBT/75/635/DNT everyday. Honk if you see me!
