Thread: How to fix this leak?

Default How to fix this leak?

I found the leak of my clutch fluid. It is from the end of the rubber hose of the clutch line at the back of the engine (right next to the engine harness) connecting the copper tubing down to the slave cylinder. I will need to replace this section of the rubber tubing (the only rubber tubing of the entire clutch line). However, I have no idea how to do this. It is very tight from both under the hood and the bottom of the car.

Anyone has any idea how to replace this tubing? I am willing to pay someone to do this for me. Stevan is on top of my list. However, he is so far from my house! Any one of you want have idea how to fix it or willing to get your hands dirty for my small compensation?

I have pics of the line that I can post if some of you let me know how to upload them.

    Thanks,
    Gab

get replacement hose (its gota be able to handle the preassure)
Use palm slicer of choice to mangel the old hose beyond recognition
    cuss and scream
hitch ride to hospital for stiches as your car cant be driven
try again and finally get the old hose off
realize you have wrong hose and have to hitch ride to parts store
get home and realize they gave you wrong hose again
hitch ride back to parts store for correct one
Finally get it all back together and realize you dont have any fluid to refill the master cylinder
    scream and cuss some more
Go back tothe parts store one final time
Get everything back together and discover it still leaks
Torch the car out of spite
set back and drink a beer while slowly slipping into insanity.

Titus, I think this is the best to go. But I still have no idea how to do this except the cut up my forearm to make it a multi-joined to get to the connection at the back of the engine bay.

If Stevan is too far for you, If I'm sure Boisking would come over and put it in for you for a fair price.
