    Default Need Aftermarket Alarm Siren

The Alarm Siren on my car broke at its mount. Anyone have an old alarm system the pulled out of a car that I can snag the alarm siren from. I'm looking for cheap/free.

Is it a siren or a loudspeaker? There are two different types.

The siren has the electronics in the speaker housing and just needs 12v to sound off. The other is just a speaker and the electronics to drive it are in the alarm control unit itself.

No idea. It's just a horn looking thing with two wires (red and black) going to it.

Well... take it inside the house, apply 12 volts to it (be sure to observe correct polarity). If your wife hits you with a skillet, it's a siren. If it sounds like strangling a duck, it's a loudspeaker.
Maybe 4 wheels aren't so bad after all... wickett.org
It only goes to show when people can no longer discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, or sexual orientation, they can improvise and still find someone to hate. - Dave Moulton
