It's time to rename Mineral Wells to "Tire Hell Wells". We destroyed 2 tires last weekend too.

Looks like I will be showing up for my work assignment at 7 AM, so I will not be at breakfast.

I hate to pass up a chance for a double stack of Jubilee pancakes just before the big weigh in, but I am out for breakfast this time.

Ya'll eat a stack for me.

    See ya at the event.

I'm going to hit the Jubilee before the weigh in.

Doug, your jackstands are already in the car - remind me to get them back to you tomorrow!

What a beautiful day to AX! Congrats to Ken-O for winning SCCA tire class this year and to jrj512 for taking 2nd (same as today's results).

There were 19 entries in tire class today, the final event of the season. 7 Trophies (5 Miatae). The final times were very close. It was a lot of fun, on a fun and fast course.

    7 - onething
    6 - comospower
    5 - jhanchey (I think)
    4 - me
3 - mazdaspeed protege (don't know the driver)
    2 - jrj
    1 - ken-o

Last but not least, over $1200 was raised to benefit Meals-On-Wheels.

Congrats to Ken O and Jrj512 for great driving and some very entertaining battles this season. It was a great season for tire with mostly Miatas in the top 5 consistently, well done guys!

By the way if anyone grabbed a cone magnet for me I'd like to get it sometime next season. The gf stole mine and I left before collecting mine from the bus lot event. :)

A big tip of the hat to Dan Lantz (STS2 #13 white/blue) for his generosity to the Metroport Meals on Wheels charity for this event

(I think) he committed to $10 per cone hit, and after each of his runs, I saw him purposefully mow down the half dozen or so cones set up for this donation purpose in the course exit area.

His tab for the event must have been HUGH.

    Kudos Dan !

    Enjoy running with you.

True statements all. Dan (SixAce) did commit to $10 per cone and he clobbered plenty - 21 to be exact. He was the highest overall donor on Sunday to MMoW.

I'm really pleased with the generosity and helpful spirit displayed by everyone on Sunday. In addition to Dan's cone carnage, Jim Harris donated his co-driver fees along with a healthy donation he made himself, and we had several people donate $50 or more for cone insurance, including MME's own ONETHING. Kudos to Lisa Savage for presenting the idea to the board a couple months ago, and kudos to everyone for making it a great success. The MMoW folks were very grateful and they had a good time too. The Fairs and Bernie Long provided ride alongs for the MMoW VIPs that were on hand and they had a blast!

I'm proud to be associated with such a great group of folks.

Yep nothing more fun that cleaning up a bunch of oil and then sitting around waiting on a Mod car to finish their last runs......

    Good Times, Good Times.
