    Default Damn AC vents!!!!!

What's the deal with miata AC vents? They drive me crazy!!! they always fall down as soon as I position them! Does anyone have any suggestions to keep them in place so I can atleast get some benefit from having a good ac compressor?

Put them where you want them and then push them in. That should hold them in place.
    ...and across the line.

A strip of black tape across the top of the vent will help. Fish a piece of thin rope thru the vent. In one side and out the other. Pull straight out.

So do you put the tape around the ball, or the opening in the duct?

I used little circular felt stickers, from the crafts department at wal-mart. They work better than tape.

But did you stick them to your ball or the vent?

And if you put the felt on top of the ball, I suppose you probably just felt yourself up...

Like they said with the string and pull.
I also have placed credit cards on each side, pushed in about 1/4 inch, and they fell out.

    Bring this one back.

I'm trying to fix my lazy vents. The center 2 came out with just a slight tug. I used quite a bit of force on the driver side vent and it will not come out. (I know I'm going to regret this) Should I just tug it real hard.

I say tug away if it makes you happy, as far as removing the vents, I have never done that.

Did that to my vents today. Perfect! Now I have to find a place to keep all the business cards I had jammed in the vents...

I pulled my vents (center ones only, those are the only ones I could pull out) and applied some sticky-back foam to the eyeballs. Now they stay where I want them!
