    Default Hi y'all!

I'm Gary Lamborn and I live in Grapevine.

My wife and I've been long-time Miata owners but I just recently found this site. We had a 92 red B package, bought in 93, which was recently totaled by a red light runner. That car was so reliable and trouble-free I never had reason to search out sites like this one. Anyway, we took the insurance settlement money and bought a 94 M Edition in need of a good bit of TLC, which led me to search the Internet for cheap DIY solutions. I've got the new car in really good shape now with the exception of the typical Montego Blue nose and rear finisher paint problems. Hopefully those will be fixed soon.

I'd never previously thought much about doing auto-cross but reading the posts here has me considering it. I'll try to watch for get togethers and see if I can soak up some racing knowledge from all you experts.

    Welcome to the forum, glamborn!

There is a low key autocross coming up this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, hosted by the Maverick Region Porsche Club of America. It will be in the "Bus Lot" at TMS, which is visible from Highway 114 and easy to find.

Come on by and check it out. I should be there, and you're welcome to hop in and come for a lap or two in my car if you want!

    Welcome aboard!

We welcome Miata owners and afficianados of all sorts. Glad to hear that this disease we call autocross is contagious...

Best of luck with the '94! Be sure to let us know if you need some help as there's usually someone anxious to spin a wrench around these parts.

Don't worry -we won't. We were all newbies once as well.
