Default Petersen Auto Museum in LA

Last night I went to the Petersen Auto Museum here in LA, and saw what appeared to be a Hi-Boy hot rod with a Duesenberg straight-8 stuffed into the nose. Oddly, there was no plaque next to it, so I have no idea of the history on this car. I just thought it was waaaaaay cool. I've included a crappy picture below...

BTW, I thought that museum was damn cool! Lots of great exhibits, and (obviously) some of the coolest cars I've ever seen. Mostly American cars, but some really neat stuff - I should've taken more pix!

Yep. The Petersen is really cool. I saw it too will out in LaLaLand.

The crazy thing is what you saw is a fraction of the cars they actually have. Not enough room to display them all at once so they rotate them in and out. While I was there they had an exhibit of the Dry Lake Racers from the dawn of the SoCal Hot Rod movement of the late 40's early 50's. Pretty cool cars!

I love that museum. I walked all over LA looking for that place... damn cabby.

Anyhow, I've got some great pictures and as soon as POS gives me the magic password to his site I'll post them up!

You should be able to guess it... it'll have the word FREE or CHEAP in it.
