Default I love a good storm..

..but I am getting really tired of waking up at 3AM on work nights.

And I have a big chunk of tree laying on my back fence to prove it.

    That was one nasty storm!

I Haven't assesed the damage at home yet but it looked like all my trees were still standing, my neighbors weren't so lucky.

Even the World Headquarters took a hit from the storm, but luckily where the water came in the building isn't in the "pretty" part & I had the windows up on the 'lac.

I had no power this morning, luckily the new hot water heater they installed a little while back is really efficient and had enough reserve. There were some pretty big trees that got broken off on the way in to work as well.

    Not up at Propwash!

I was monitoring the stormchasers, and they were reporting 80+ mph down the hill. Its always faster up here, and that is hurricane force!
Propwash is always batoned down for storms up here, and got no damage that I have seen.
Other airports were not as lucky.
Breckenridge was hammered. Nelson Ezells warbird facility took heavy damage. "White Lightning" and the "Wildcat" damaged, but not serious.
I did see a L-3 flipped and broken, but it had not been out of the hanger in 20 years. It looks repairable.

    I wonder how Kevin is?

Addison got damage right across from Cavanaugh. No word on CFM yet.
McKinney got damage as well as Kitty Hawk in Allen.

I have natural gas water heaters. No power required.

Took friggin 45 minutes to get from the George Bush to BeltLine on Midway this morning because most of the lights were down and some were in the middle of the intersection!

Tornado sirens went off about 4 am. That was scary!

By the time the sirens went off here (about 3:40) the worst of the storm had already blown over.

We lost power around 4 am and it is still out, so I drove in to the office instead of working from home. It took me 20 minutes to get the 1 mile from my house on to PGBTP. YUCK!!!
