    According to interweb reports the truck was driven by a 16 year old and t-boned the smart.

    Car held up very well.

    Body looks ok but the front right suspension looks like it's toast

    I think the zip-tie holding the wheel broke.

    BTW, don't forget that the truck impacted at its crush zone (if it has one), so it will have more damage.

    Yep... however I am still amazed at the lack of body damage on the Smart.

    For a plastic egg I think it held up very well.

    I am also wondering with the lack of crumple how much energy was transfered to the driver.

    The Smart has a five star side impact rating, the wheels are designed to absorb impact. Cool

    As light as the Smart car is and as small and narrow as the tires are, it probably doesn't absorb much of the impact before the tires lose grip and it just starts getting pushed around. I'd bet a heavier car would've sustained a lot more damage in the exact same accident.
