Default SCCA Event 3# at Mineral Wells AirPark 5/18/08

Will anyone besides me be there. Gasoline prices hit $3.659 in Gainesville yesterday. Maybe more of us will change to a bicycle for hobby and health.

Breakfast at the Golden Arches at the Willow Park exit, 7am?
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

If they don't you'll probably still have enough rubber left over to mold into a 245

Depends, the surface can really chew up nice soft A6's or V710's but some other R comps like the RA1, Victoracer etc stand up to it pretty well. Street tires do ok, the shoulders just look a little chunky at the end of the day.

Depends on the car. Jeremy's Evo did more damage to my RA-1s in five runs than the RX-8 did in 15.

I agree. It depends on the car (and driver). We'll see how my virgin Hankooks fare on the surface Sunday. Looks like it's going to be a hot one, so everyone needs to be prepared with plenty of water to drink (and cool your tires down)! See you there
What's left of a '96 Miata with stock clutch.
My car exceeds my driving ability. That's the only possible explanation.

On the water to cool off the tires does one need that fancy bug spray apperatus or are there other ways that work as well???
