Default Tire Pressure Warning Light: Can I pass inspection?

My tire pressure warning light is on (it's faulty), can I pass state inspection? (It's not a miata, but shouldn't matter.)

Even the wife's new Honda CR-V has this problem and so did my last car. Seems industry wide the system is a p.o.s.

Yep. When I brought my RX-8 home from Topeka, the wheels didn't even have TPMS sensors in them. No problem passing inspection.
